Thanks Ginger...these comments are very helpful...It was interesting to see how the light & its impact on the lake all changed in about 30-40 minutes...I had gone by this scene for 4 days waiting for the right light...the cooperation of the ducks was unplanned but welcome. |

This is a WOW! image--I think the immediate impact is terrific...using the audience in the foreground really draws the viewer into the photo.
The only comment I have is to see whether any of the similar images you have eliminate the hand from being in front of the woman's face on the far left.
A wonderful job! |

Beautiful image! The interplay of colors is great.
A couple of thoughts,
-since you were able to use a tripod it would be interesting to see if shooting at F8 or F11 would have created a different looking image--similarly shooting at a lower ISO
-Also, it might be helpful to see if the shadows in the middle-right of the image can be opened up more--it almost looks like there is more color `begging' to get out...I just can't tell.
Terrific job! |

Great Image. Great post-processing.
I love the interplay of the colors and the look on the busker's face.
I only wonder if asking him politely in French to remove his hat so that you could focus even more on his face would have been in order <of course for a small gratuity!)
A wonderful travel image. |

Beautiful image Stan. What a wonderful dramatic sky!
A few thoughts,
-perhaps doing 2 separate images & cropping on each of the towers (because of the dramatic lighting) could be something to try
-Perhaps some selective burning of the streetlamp or cropping out some of the brighter ones (for example the one at the bottom left) might be helpful and keep the center of interest on the Cathedral
-Using LR to open up some of the shadows might draw the viewer further into the photo |

Nice image John! The only suggestions I have are these: try to crop out as much of the car hood as possible (it looks rusted?); perhaps use a diffuser to eliminate some of the specular highlights (or perhaps having you or someone else stand between the hood ornament & the light source) . Also, it would have been great if there had been a blue sky background...using the Landscape Pro software might be an easy way to remedy this. |
