Hi Bob, ...concerning the rock color I was reading an article that mentioned yellow colored mountains / rocks in Europe...Turns out they are from sulfur deposits often found in volcanic areas...maybe that accounts for the rock color?...just a thought |

A strong composition although I would have liked to see some more detail in the diagonal on the right (I'm not quite sure what it is?). Also, as I look at the image it seems possible to try and split it into two--one for each window--just a thought.
...In any event it is great to see digital imaging in B&W! |

Very good action shot...You don't mention if this was taken from `on high' (for example a press box or similar)...If so perhaps using a longer lens and zeroing in on where the action would be (near the base) would have enabled you to eliminate the background to the right giving you more opportunity to have more emphasis on the filer's face. |

Excellent action shot...But I think cropping out the topclimber's feet would help as would `playing' with the rock color a bit ...just curious, did your use auto white balance on this?...perhaps using a more specific WB would yield a truer (?) color. |

I think this is an excellent image...I especially like the shades of gray achieved...Just curious if you took this as B&W originally or did the conversion on software afterwards (?) |

Hi John, I think this a good image as well...You might want to try to crop out the stairs and see if any Photoshopping might eliminate the remaining rail--all to focus on the painter and the light house...Good effort for a tough shot! |
