Isaac, I don't often remember to try an upward angle when capturing photos. That angle creates an amazing image here. I love looking up at the butterfly. I will have to remember this when I am capturing images. |

Adrian, I remember a hummingbird "shoot" on a trip some time ago. The rapid shutter was the only way I could capture a good shot. It is amazing how nature puts so much drama in such a small bird! It's a beautiful shot. |

Marie, I'm glad you cropped away the left side, eliminating the edge of the ledge. What strikes me with your current crop is the attention it brings to the way the roots grew through the rocks. Perhaps the greens are a bit intense. It must have been a good hike! |

Barbara, what a great story. It feels to me like there is a magenta cast to the image. I tried using a hue and adjustment layer and slightly reduced the saturation of the reds. I think it feels more natural. It is attached. |

I especially like the stretched neck framed with the wing. It makes great composition. Though it's not blue, the eye is so sharp. Beautiful image. |

Bruce you have introduced me to many beautiful birds. I evidently missed many birds when I was in Costa Rica. The sharpness of this image with the soft background is outstanding. |

Thanks for your comments. As I remember it, the hardest part of getting there was done in a vehicle. The hiking part was manageable. |

The clouds backed by the dark hillside were my choice of subject. This is primarily a mood image. |
