Thanks for your response. This image has taught me to consider a monochrome interpretation more often. I've mad some final local adjustments to try to pop the zebras from the field. This final crop keeps quite a bit of the herd. Any comments on these changes? |

Here is another option for a crop. |

Thanks for the comment. I'll attach another version where I featured the foreground animals. I'll see if I can crop another version with part of the field included.

I made the monochrome transformation when a friend suggested it.
I need to give images that consideration more often. |

What a wonderful example of this interaction. Previously, I had only known of cattle and the cattle egrets. It is amazing what it does for this image to bring out the yellows! Just that one adjustment brings much life to your image. At the time this was taken, it would have been interesting to get a close-up of a few but i understand, from your settings, that you were quite a distance away. A very unique image. Thank you for sharing it. |

I, too, am glad you shared both views. The educator in me likes to learn about animal behaviors. My only suggestion might be to crop off the very bright and out-of-focus foreground. It still would leave enough of the setting but would remove a possible distraction. It reminds me of a trip to Alaska many years ago. |

Marie, I am not a birder so I really appreciate an image that truly introduces me to a species. I am studying it so I will recognize a female cardinal, the next time a see one! Beautifully done. |

I love the tension between the background and the interior of the car. It produces a unique sense of 3D without any actual 3D. It is genuinely fun to spend time with your image. |

Randy, I love the effect that this enormous animal appears so small in the overall scene. Life is relative! A unique and lovely image.
