I love your choice of crop! It also has meaning that we can see the original capture, which is beautiful too. Both presentations have a mood of "dancing".
The care you took with the exposure has really paid off!

I think I prefer the landscape shape of the original image. The blue sky enhances the rocks and water.
I, too, have been there in winter. It's an exciting time to be in Yellowstone (providing you have warm clothing!). |

Marie, the color changes create 2 image choices. I think I would be interested in seeing something between the original and the final image.
I, too, live near to Lake Ontario (Western New York). I'll have to make it to the Lakeshore more often.
Beautiful image. |

While I like both versions, I am wondering if the color version has the saturation raised a bit more than my preference.
A beautiful image. |

I am also wondering if there was sound that you could hear during the mating?

I'm glad I didn't miss this offering! Wow! I would certainly keep the egrets, they add much to the image.
I also appreciate the enhancement of the color in the background. I think it adds depth.
I can't wait to see other images from that day!

What holds my attention is the extremely sharp head. Since the bird is in flight, I actually like the drop off of focus. It accentuates the motion. |
