I'm assuming that you are suggesting that if I have too much light for slow shutter, a ND filter will help. It hadn't occurred to me to try a slow shutter. |

A slow shutter would be a good suggestion for the next time. It didn't occur to me when I was at this scene.
Thanks for the suggestion. |

Isaac. I've been to Bosque del Apache a few years ago and your image brings back many memories. The takeoff is amazing! I've seen more shots like your second one but rarely seen such a great shot of the takeoff. It almost becomes an image of texture! I love it.

I am embarrassed for your Weaver. :<) I'm sure he is elegant on many occasions but he is in quite a pickle here.
I've never seen a Weaver before. His coloring is spectacular and your crop does it justice. |

I, too, played with the crop. I wondered if the waterfall could stand alone in the scene. It is especially interesting in that it appears to be pouring out of a green cup! I suspect that you could also make a very attractive picture from just the rocks?
It is fun to see images from a part of the world where I have never visited.

Bruce, I agree with Isaac that the unusual white background really makes the bird stand out. It is amazing that so much color was in the original and could be brought out.
