I do think the foreground brightness is distracting though, now you've pointed it out. I could crop the light triangle out easily.
I did get a free trial of DxO a year or so ago, but it was DxO Optics then and I don't recall any manipulation capability, I thought it just did lens corrections. Maybe that was part of the upgrade? Or I could have missed it. (I "lost" my wallet recently and searched for hours, but my wife found it in five minutes!) Doh. Affinity has a noise reduction system but generally I find that when I use it, it "undoes" any sharpening I've done, the two adjustments are like a see-saw.
I see Viewpoint is for perspective adjustments. Affinity does that too, I've used it on converging verticals but that's about all. It looks quite powerful. We are going on holiday on Thursday for a month in our motorhome so hopefully I'll get some time to try it out if it lets me download it! (Sometimes they know a trial has been on your computer previously and they refuse you a second bite of the cherry! |

Yes, I guess it's well and truly burned out. I could shade it down a little but I thought it was an "eye puller" and draws the viewer down the tunnel? |
