Thank you so much guys for your comments. It feels good when a picture creates engagement.
The vision with the picture was to make a double meaning of power; the electrical power and the spiritual power (if one believes in such things) that both come from above. Therefore I chose to make the clouds rather light since they represent the sender. The panels are slightly darker as being the receiver. The tree may represent the receiver of the spiritual power.
I could have removed the electrical lines, but since it was about transmission of power, I decided to let them be.
A bit philosophical this time, but why not? |

This image is definitely better in B&W. I like the cropping and the format. If I shall suggest something, it would be to make a gradient from the lower left corner to draw attention to the boulders. May be also a subtle gradient from the top. I would also given more texture to the boulders to make them stand out. |

I have been on about the same spot, Iceland is just fantastic for photographers. You have done a very good job with the post-processing. To my taste, you could do with less saturation as it would look more natural. I would suggest trying cropping from the left and some of the sky to emphasize on the essential parts of the image. |

A well-composed image of Huston. I agree with the others that it is a bit flat. My suggestion is to make a gradient from dark to transparent on the green area, this will draw more attention to the buildings. I like the sky that Larry suggested. |

This picture really stands out from the crowd. Well seen and well captured. My only little pick is that face is tilting slightly to the right. The buildings are strait, that is not so important, in my opinion. |

A very moody picture, but I could not let this chance go away to try converting it into B&W. It is limited what you can do with a small JPEG file, but I think it works. Basically, what I have done is to use dodge and burn to make the light lighter and the dark darker. I have also used the gradient tool to darken the top and right side.
I think all the rocks should be in focus. By using f16 and changing the focus point, it should be possible. I have recently learned about hyperfocal DOF, so I will recommend looking into that. |

Being the last to comment, most is said about the image. I think Richard`s suggestion is good. |

I like the high contrast between the blossoms and the branches. I also like the white gate at the end of the road. My only comment is to crop out the clouds as they distract the main object in my opinion. |

A very symbolic picture, in particular in these days when different cultures are opposing each other. Well seen and well done. |

An interesting perspective. I am not so concerned about the empty space, but I would suggest to darken the ground to increase the contrast and make it more abstract. |

A beautiful scene. Trees have a calming effect. I like what you have done, but I agree with Haru that you can increase the contrast between the tre and the background to make it stand out more. |

My question is; what happen next? but he seems to have full control of the situation. It is very dynamic scene. The surfer stands well out from the surroundings. Definately better in B&W. |

A well captured shot. You have done the right things in post processing to let the eagle stand out from the surroundings and refine the texture. |

Actually, I didn't ask anybody. A car stopped on the road near by, but I continued my work and they drove away. As long as no danger is involved or anybody is intimidated, I have become more relaxed about where I take my pictures. It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.
The challenge was to get the symmetry right with a handheld camera looking up and somebody watching you with suspicion. |
