A very beautiful image! Sharp from one end to the other. I admire your stability, sharp at 1/30s. Well composed with the curved lines leading into the picture. Also, like the complementary colors in the rocks and the sky. Would not change a thing. |

A dramatic scene with nice colors. Here are my suggestions for improvement: The mountains are completely dark without details, since you have so many exposures, it should be possible to bring in some details that would make the picture more interesting. Lighten the road slightly so it becomes a leading line into the picture. Give the moon some of the same color as in the sky. I might also consider to crop the left side as there is not much of interest there. |

Interesting capture of the sea. At first, I thought the foreground was landscape. The sky is partly burned out, so my suggestion is to crop down below the burned area. The composition will be better too, as it is the sea and the ships that are of most interest. It works well as a pano, but you could consider to shorten it a bit in both ends. |

At first sight, I thought it was Toscana, Italy. Good to know there are scenery like this elsewhere. To your question about wide of long lens: my opionion is that it could been cropped about at the horizontal creek and from the right almost into the buildings. This would give more attention on the building to the left and details in the landscape. Very good use of highlight and shadows that makes the picture interesting. |

A good example of being there at the right time. The waterfall looks like a flame! I think a crop from below and the right side would enhance the waterfall that is the main attraction. |

You have done a lot of good considerations here, Angela. The conversion to B&W is well done. A lot of grey tones and a little black and bright white. The picture tells a beautiful story about the old lady showing old traditions. Well done! |

A lot of activities going on here. I think it would be improved by cropping it from both sides so only the two persons in action get attention. Some vignetting would also help to focus on the main subject. It looks like it is a bit overexposed. It is a good practice to check the histogram to see if it is correct. |

A well-captured situation. The shutter speed is just long enough to see the move of the droplets and short enough to keep the girl relatively sharp. Nicely blurred background and well converted into B&W with good use of grey tones. |

First about the discussion about light or dark image. In my opinion, this has to most to do with how bright or dark each user has adjusted their screen. To me, the first image is better than the second. I agree, however, in darkening the beard on the right side slightly. You have used the grey tones in an excellent way and it has a full tonal range. Well done! |

The image is definitely better in B&W as the make of the lorry is about the same as when B&W was the only alternative. When it comes to content, I feel that the picture is too busy. The straws in front of the lorry and the trees in the background take attention from the main subject. May be captured it from the other side would be better? The white grass in the background also takes attention.
On the positive side, you have a full tonal range from black to white and a lot of grey in between.
I am sorry to see you go and thank you for your contribution to our group. Wish you good luck in another group! |
