I agree about the background being too dark. I don't think that replacing the background is the answer, but maybe maximize the blur and minimize the darkening. I kind of like the composition where she is sitting off center - is that just me? She is definitely an interesting subject! |

Lovely image Marti. Even better if you shot it through the glass (which I think you did?). I think I would have left a little more space on the left side and maybe a bit of the floor in front. A pretty springtime scene for sure.

I hate to admit it, but I also thought at first it was some kind of huge sandwich! Sorry Joe! I have not tried light painting, but you make it sound quite easy to do. I love how the sky turned out. |

I prefer your original because, to me, the black and white conversion makes the image too stark. I like the softness of the color version. But it is an amazing capture of the horse and rider! It must have been a beautiful performance to see.

I agree with all of the above. I will add that the dead leaf needs to go, and the butterfly could use just a touch more contrast/vibrance. But it is definitely one of your best! |
