22 Jan 26 Comment I also like all the diagonals. My tendency would have been to crop down to just the flower and part of the stem. But I do like your composition with the secondary elements. Sometimes more is better!

22 Jan 26 Comment I like your chimp, and I think your editing of him is spot on. You have really emphasized, in a realistic way, the texture in his fur and the sheen of the skin on his hands and face. A minor issue is that the fur on the top of his head is right at your crop line, and I'd back off on that if you can. Good work! Jan 15th
22 Jan 26 Comment Very nice Al. I would crop in a little on the left side, and then try to smooth out the tones in the black background. The various shades of black are distracting. Good use of color, and your arrangement works well.

22 Jan 26 Comment I agree with the others that the lighthouse is overly bright. I think I really like your original better because the sky has a little more character. But to me, this is exactly the kind of scene that I like to photograph, and you have done it very, very well! Jan 14th
22 Jan 26 Comment Very nice Marti. With today's technology, I'd probably try to sharpen the Saguaro's a bit and reduce the noise that shows in the sky. It's very much a Tucson scene!

22 Jan 26 Comment I like this scene and have seen it often in west Texas. It looks to me like a sunrise or sunset timing so, as Marti suggested, deepen the light in the sky and not quite as bright in the foreground. This also might work to crop down and have less sky, and give the appearance of a panorama. Nice capture!

22 Jan 26 Reply Yes I think brightening the girl's face would be helpful. I think it would help to show up the face painting on her forehead and around her eyes. Thanks for the suggestion!

22 Jan 26 Reply Yes Joe, it does improve the image. First, the ropes and posts were an oversight by me. I should have removed them while removing the two women. So thanks for that. I like the reflection, but it does not match up with where the reflection is in the pre-cropped version. But I doubt that anyone else other than me would even notice!
