22 Oct 22 Comment Very interesting story Mike. To me, this looks like grandma and granddaughter. It is so difficult to get a good shot in that type of lighting. One way is to bracket two shots, one very bright, and one dark. But that is nearly impossible unless you have a tripod. So I think you've made the best of it. Nice capture of a street scene. Oct 16th
22 Oct 22 Comment Yes I agree with the others that this is really a group portrait rather than street photography. But it's a great shot of your family, and they have all arranged themselves so nicely! I think your original crop is better. It gives more of a feel for the wide open spaces there. Wouldn't this make a great Christmas card! Oct 16th
22 Oct 22 Comment This is a really difficult angle to try and get the perspective exactly right on the two buildings plus the bean. And I think you've done pretty well with it actually. You are capturing a street scene in a very unusual way by using the reflection in the bean. I like the composition a lot. It could be brightened a bit as the others have said. Oct 16th
22 Oct 22 Comment I feel that there is not a very strong subject here. Too much distraction from the audience, and the plane is too far away. I think that this image captures an interesting event - people witnessing something exciting - but it doesn't feel like street photography to me. Oct 16th
22 Oct 22 Comment I think that in your conversion you have significantly sharpened the image, and it benefits well from that. Your black and white is very contrasty, which is good. This is a scene that I would invision as an example of street photography. Very nice Jerry.

22 Oct 22 Comment I really like this as an example of street photography. It's a candid shot and the subject doesn't know you are photographing her as she goes about her day. There is a good story here as well - where is she going, what else is up this narrow alleyway. Great job of moving her to another location. I wouldn't know where to even start with that!
