This is a very attractive panorama with beautiful colors. I can see why you were drawn to the scene. You must have been out very early to have not gotten lots of beach goers in your scene! |

Really nice job Al. I've attempted rodeo shots, and I know they are very difficult for lots of reasons. I think you've over brightened a bit, and I'd try to increase the contrast too. But you have captured the essence of this event. Well done.

I think that would work on this image. The other image that I used just has little bits of plywood showing through.

This image shows the problem with a different angle - the barn door is not there. It had been replaced by an ugly sheet of plywood! |

I think it's a nice abstraction. It would make a great jigsaw puzzle! The black and white plus the graininess would be a real test for the eyes! |

I think you've done a great job of isolating the subject amidst such a busy background. To me, the flower does not have the "cut out" look because all of the edges are not equally sharp. I do think that the moth is too soft, but I don't see that you applied any selective sharpening to it, and that would help. I'd try the high pass filter in Photoshop. Very nice work!

This is a beautiful portrait. I feel that you have perfected it by converting to black and white. While I love the red hair and blue eyes, the other colors - shirt, pillows, etc. - drew my attention away from her face. My only suggestion would be to smooth out her skin below her mouth and on the cheek. Otherwise - what a keepsake!
