Joe this is just almost too much to look at! It must have been amazing to see! I'm still not sure how you did this. Were these effects all going off at once, and you made one shot? |

I like the exposure of your original much better. The fact that some balloons are brighter than others is representative of your scene, and is perfectly fine. I think just some straightening of your original and perhaps a little sharpening would give you a pleasing result. Balloons at night are very difficult to shoot. Good practice though!

I think your conversion to black and white was a good choice. The moon is almost invisible in your original, as it simply blends in with the clouds. A little more contrast and some slight cropping would be worth experimenting with. |

I like your over all blue tones very much. I think there's a lot to take in when looking at the image. The red glow on the water pretty much draws my eye first. It must have been hard to decide which part of the view to capture. Al's idea of cropping into more of a panorama might be worth trying. I agree with Jerry that the blue stroke is a nice touch. |

I agree with Joe - I love the tunnel look. To me, you have created an outstanding example of night photography. I think that cropping up from the bottom helps to direct the eye to the colors on the wall. And a stroke would help when exhibiting on a dark background. But overall I think it's great! |

Thanks Stephen. The door is from a local door company. They have a lot of different designs, and to my eye, this one looked very Frank Lloyd Wright. That is why I chose it.

I think that helps. I'd do a 2 or 3 pixel stroke.

I think you are right Joe. There needs to be another element, but the surrounding area is so dark that I don't know how I would do that. Suggestions welcome. |
