I think that is a good suggestion Joe. I will try it. |

I know what you mean about the texture in the sky. I think it works as an overall effect, but if you focus on it too much, it does appear kind of dirty.
You are right that recropping would upset the balance of the towers. The largest is right on the 1/3 line, and I would lose that by bringing in the left side. Maybe the fact that the left side vignette is darker is really more the issue. |

Very interesting shot Marti. I think that's quite a feat to have all this fungi intact, no broken off parts, and basically undisturbed. I like the composition that you have captured, making a nice diagonal up through the image. It feels a little dark to me, but that could be my monitor. Nice job. |

I agree that black and white works very well with this image. It minimizes the effect of all of the "busyness" around the two women. You have also improved the sharpness, particularly of the woman on the right. Interesting to see that the other woman is sweeping the sidewalk - maybe her job? Definitely a story here! Good work Jerry. |

I think you have turned your photograph into a work of art that would look nice on someone's wall. The filter you chose in Studio gives this kind of a fantasy look, yet maintains the ruggedness of the scene. You have done well in correcting the underexposure and bringing back detail. I enjoyed seeing that little strip of snow way up high even though it was July, and glad you left it in. Nice work!

I think this is a similar but better rendering of the story you were telling with your July image. You are close up to the artist here and can see what he is painting. And he is the subject, not the canyon itself. The sunlight on his head and shoulders, and on his painting really draw your eye right where it should go. Very, very nice Mike! |

This is a lovely soft image. I really like how you brought out the colors of autumn. Very impressionistic as Jerry and Mike have said. I think you could easily clone in more vegetation to fill the empty spot on the lower left. I think that would help balance the picture. Very nice Joe, and very creative. |
