22 Aug 19 Comment I think it is difficult to isolate one bloom in a group of flowers such as this. My tendency is to include too much. I think, though, that you have achieved what you wanted to achieve with the emphasis on the stamen and the forward petals. I personally don't think it is necessary to have the whole bloom in sharp focus. You are expressing your vision, and that is what you have chosen to create and present to the viewer. The application of the Nik filter Darken/Lighten Center would be a good addition here. Aug 26th
22 Aug 19 Comment I can see what you were getting at here - the repetition of the vertical lines. Good idea. From Marti's version it seems to me that you needed more contrast in your post processing. The colors of the flowers, and particularly the leaves, need to be emphasized so that they pop out. May be just my eyes, but your colors were stronger in the original. Aug 26th
22 Aug 19 Comment Your colors are very, very nice, creating a beautiful desert sunset. I really like how you have opened up the foreground. It adds a lot to your image. I have recropped the picture to emphasize the foreground and sun - just a suggestion. Aug 26th
22 Aug 19 Comment Great capture Joe. You have an excellent eye for seeing all those repetitions of shape and form! I agree with Marti about a sky replacement. Just a clear blue sky would really set this off. Your title - Power - is a very apt and effective description. Aug 22nd
22 Aug 19 Comment This is a gorgeous picture Kaylyn. You have a very nice, sharp foreground, and the sharpness carries through the image to the cliffs in the background. I really like your treatment of the water to create that creamy look. And the colors are very natural for a western landscape. My only suggestion would be a bit of dark vignette. Aug 22nd
22 Aug 19 Comment Beautiful work Jerry! There is nothing to improve. It is just perfect - from your preparation and start, to the completed image we see here. Aug 22nd
22 Aug 19 Reply I think you are right about leaving more space. Like here. But I think I like Marti's version better. Aug 22nd

71 Aug 19 Comment Dropping in from Group 22 - this is a wonderful picture Mike! Quite the panorama! Your fence is perfectly focused and makes a great foreground. Then fanning out to the mountains and that wonderful New Mexico sky! Really, really nice! Aug 22nd
