What a wonderful image Mike. You were truly in the right place at the right time! Cropping from the left as Kaylyn suggests makes a much stronger composition. Should you ever decide to exhibit it, John has given you the perfect title - Dancing in the Meadow.

To me the kite boarder is secondary to the image of the kite. I am drawn immediately to the kite, and then my eye goes to see what else is in the image. It's really all about the kite and the sky. In fact, I might darken the person a bit, eliminate that bright green on his vest. Good shot - good crop also. |

Wonderful leading lines in the clouds. This is one of those cases where using the rule of thirds for the horizon would just not apply. I agree about the border not really working for this image. |

We spend time in Michigan in the fall, and I come across many scenes like this. And I never seem to be able to get the colors right. Pumpkins often have a reflective glare, and that orange can be easily oversaturated. So this is a very nice fall cameo Marti, and well done. |
