I also like your version with the biker, and I agree with Jerry that having him ride into the action would have been better - but you have to work with the images that you have! I would also clone out the light pole. I admire all that you have done with this image Joe - and I know that the way to improve is to keep practicing with these kind of techniques. So you are a good motivator! |

Seeing your original, I would not have imagined that so much color was there! I like it as is. I would not crop out the yellow plants in the foreground. I think that they lend a sense of scale to the vast panorama of hills. You could take a bit off the top, but not really necessary in my opinion. |

Jerry, you did a great job blurring the background. I think you should have darkened those red tablecloths as well. They are still a bit of a distraction. Also, you seem to have introduced a lot of noise that I don't see in your original. But overall, you have very successfully isolated the horse, the rider, and the judge so that they are the focus. Your image has become more of a story. Nice. |

This is a very interesting shot Mike. You were in the right spot at the right time! I kind of like the uncropped version as it gives more context to the scene. Also, I would like to have seen the birds in somewhat sharper focus even though the coyote is your subject. Nice job! |

This is beautiful Kaylyn. I especially like the way the ripples in the water are repeated in the sky. I also really like the smooth, glassy texture of the water, which I think had to do with your slow shutter speed - is that right? Great capture. |

I like Mike's description - a wonderful study in textures and muted colors. I have cloned out most of that branch (I think!) for you to see. Photoshop changed the color space to Adobe RGB which has changed the colors slightly. |
