What a fun image! So what kind of a filter did you use? It has a nice graphics feel - would make a good illustration for a poster. |

I agree - the smoke kind of faded away. I think that I had darkened it in an earlier version, but this filter removed that effect. |

I agree with Mike. This looks like a wonderful illustration in a children's book. I really, really like the Topaz filter that you used. |

I like the train with this background very much. Very appropriate in style. If you crop the bottom of the image up closer to the train, you eliminate having to deal with that crossing, and also I think, makes the steam and gravel area appear more natural. This represents a lot of work!! But well worth it. |

I love your background with this train. I know it's a lot of work to do that, but you did it well - especially with the smoke! Regarding the prior comments about the crossing - if you crop the bottom of the image up through the "cowcatcher", you remove the crossing, but also make the trees on the left appear to be off down a hill or drop-off which is quite a natural look. |
