48 Mar 17 Reply Thanks Neil. Everyone (fellow photographers) that I showed it to prior to this, said it looked nice and sharp. I suspect it's in my resizing, sharpening, and saving-for-web process, which I haven't quite figured out yet. Mar 17th

48 Mar 17 Comment I believe you did a great job achieving all of your objectives, with the exception of the hands. Great DOF, great story, great subject, etc. etc. I just saw your editing capability on Hildi's bird. If you can do that, you can remove the hands. Please share if/when you do? Mar 17th
48 Mar 17 Comment As soon as I saw your image, my thoughts were beautiful detail and color, but then also the same thoughts as Bev and Neil. The last thing I'd like to see is the one brown branch changed to a color similar as the others. Mar 17th
48 Mar 17 Comment Nice composition and I love the golden light in the foreground. A few tidbits though, that should be easily remedied. There appears to be a vertical glare down the right rule of thirds line that can be seen on the mountain and lake. Also, I'd like to see a bit of dehaze applied to the mountains and sky, and if you haven't done so already, you may want to apply a grid to ensure the lake is level. Lastly, I can't figure out what happened at the bottom center of the image, but something looks blurred out, which might be better off cropped off. Mar 17th
48 Mar 17 Comment At first glance I thought this was achieved with some fancy filter. Then I saw the silhouette and was ready to give you major kudos for applying the filter everywhere except on him. THEN, I read your narrative. You still get kudos, but for a different reason...simply capturing this image. As Neil suggests though, capturing more of the crowd as silhouettes would help tell the story. Also, I think I would play with the transform tool, to either emphasize and balance the converging lines or remove them. Mar 17th
48 Mar 17 Comment I'm glad others confirmed the halo, I was afraid it was my monitor. Otherwise, a nice silhouette. Mar 17th
48 Mar 17 Comment Nice job compositing the three subjects. That's a task I haven't attempted to tackle yet. I think I would prefer a different background, and if possible, some shadows. Mar 17th
