Thanks Margaret. It was an unusually cool morning with frost everywhere and steam rolling off the lake behind me. |

This took me back to the days of the Waltons! (Showing my age?) His eyes are awesome, and I like the lighting and shadow. I don't know if it's your shallow DOF or if you smoothed his forehead and cheek, but the transition is a bit noticeable. |

I'm curious about your settings and what you may have done in post-processing. It seems noisy to me, and I'm wondering if changing it to a B&W would remove the distracting leaves. |

I'm with the others in that I would crop off the top, and a bit from the left as well. Did you try cropping just to see what it would look like? I'm thinking the environment as well as the bears might even stand out more. |

Beautiful! I'd be curious to see how it would look if you use the white eyedropper in levels. It may not look better, just a thought. Also, my eye keeps going to something that looks man-made, a grey rectangular structure of sorts. If you follow the stripes in the snow down to the left, it's at the end of the snow to the right of the tree. What do others think? Whatever it is, I think I would clone it out. |

Great catch, whether by luck or design! |

I'm unsure of your intent. If you're trying to present a ghost-like sailboat, it works, except I would leave off the shadow all together.. And if that's the case, I would give it a name that reflects your intent, i.e. "Yesteryear." |
