Thanks, Joyce. It's about ½ inch across. Later, after the bloom opens up, it will have a long thingy (pistil or stamen...I didn't excel at botany) coming out about 1 ½ inches. It's hard to get all that in focus so I shot one whose parts hadn't yet emerged. There are pink ones here, too. |

I love the way the water droplets show up and the very pleasant complementary colors of the petals against the lily pads. Can you tell us what kind of filter you used to create that 'surface'?

Very peaceful feel. I like the grass blowing gently at the bottom left and the waves gently rolling in. The sun through the clouds is a nice contrast to the green of the grass. Very nice photo. |

Super shot with his eye nicely focused. Like Joyce, I like the dark background and how he really stands out. |

Excellent how you really got the birds eye in focus. And I can feel the action of the fishing the drops of water falling. |

Very nice how the light comes through the petals. And I like the bud over to the left. Why would you feel uncomfortable about posting your settings? Just wondering. Very nice picture. I'd like to do half as well with wrong camera & lens.
