You are right Suzanne. I wish I had a lower camera angle to look into Nat's eyes. It's a good thing we are planning to do more Rakuing, so there will be more chances to get it right. |

You're right, Sophia. I thought my adjustments were only affecting the background since I had masked out the subject. I didn't intend to change anything on the dulcimer or the musician. I should have paid closer attention to the final result.

Happy New Year, Mark. I agree with Sophia's comments, especially regarding the dodging around the eye. You might also consider a tighter crop on all sides to make the penguin more dominant in the frame. |

Happy New Year, Pete. I agree with Sophia's comments on your first image, but I can see a significant improvement in your second one. The only quick suggestion I have is to create a custom "hair brush" to make the dangling hair on the person on the rear spoke look more natural. |

Sophia, you're absolutely right-this man's eyes are quite captivating. My only suggestion would be to reduce the brightness of the background and apply a subtle Gaussian blur to enhance focus on the subject. In Photoshop, I selected the subject and placed him on a new layer. Then I lowered the background brightness and added a touch of Gaussian blur to soften it. |

Natalia, this is a lovely photo of a young woman playing the piano during Christmas time. From the look on her face, something seems to be catching her attention-perhaps she's reading sheet music, or maybe she's accompanying a group singing Christmas carols?
I understand how challenging it can be to find the ideal camera position when others are present. Still, an eye-level angle that included her left arm might have added more balance and presence to the composition.
For post-processing, I applied a tighter crop, isolated the background to reduce its brightness, and added a subtle Gaussian blur to enhance focus on the subject. Additionally, I did a little dodging to brighten the young woman's face.
