5 Jul 25 Comment Sophia, I agree with Pete's and Mark's comments. The mark of a true photographer lies in their ability to watch and wait for just the right angle and moment to capture a shot.
At a recent photography club meeting, our guest speaker-an architectural photographer-shared a remarkable anecdote. I asked him what the longest wait for a perfect photograph had been. His answer: five years. The subject? The United Nations building in New York City. I hope it didn't take five years, but the outcome is the perfect picture. Great work in post-processing.

5 Jul 25 Comment Mark, This image portrays a wonderful story of this part of Kashmir. I like the post-processing that Pete has done. The background is an important part of the story. If you choose to darken, I would suggest by 1/3 to 1/2 of a stop. Jul 13th
5 Jul 25 Comment Pete, I agree with Mark's remark that this image is an example of perfect butterfly lighting. This lighting highlights her cheekbones. The only thing I would do if this were mine would be lighten her eyes, which would also bring out the catchlights in her eyes. Jul 13th
5 Jul 25 Comment Xiao, agree with the other comments about the composition and the moment of capture. I like Pete's post-processing but I like Tom's cropping. Jul 12th
5 Jul 25 Comment Natalia, this is a fascinating subject, with its diverse geometric shapes and textures. I thought it might lend itself to a B/W image but I didn't have any results as pleasing as your original. I do like Mark's crops. Jul 12th
5 Jul 25 Reply Thanks, Sophia, you did a great job highlighting the action. I am going back to see if I can do a better job on the reins and add the suggestions that you and Pete have provided. Jul 12th
5 Jul 25 Reply Thanks, Pete, I use the depth blur filter often but I forgot to use it when I worked on this image. Thanks for the help. Jul 12th
