Sophia, I think David has achieved the perfect solution to your problem (which is very minor and easy to solve). You have another award-winning photograph to add to your ever-growing collection. |

Jim, I have to agree with Mark and David's comments. I think David has the answer to the burned-out color, however, his solution seems to increase the visibility of the reddish cloud surrounding the basket on the left. Perhaps using different blending modes in addition to using the "blend if" sliders could help solve that issue. |

David, you have captured a great action moment. Under the circumstances, I think you did a great job of reducing the effect of the competitors behind the sidecar passenger. I agree with cloning out the white fence posts but I am not bothered by the sharpness of the challengers behind the leading cyclists; in fact, I feel it adds to the threat of losing their current position in the race. For me, the most objectionable item is just a few of the larger chunks of flying dirt that could be cloned out without any loss of excitement in the image. |

Barbara, I have to agree with Mark's and Pete's comments with respect to your editing. I think dark BG increased the separation between the BG and the subject. I also agree flipping the subject was the right choice.
