Jim and Pete, I realize now that the foreground is rather distracting. I think most of the distraction was caused by floating leaves and because of the shallow water, there was light reflecting off rocks and other debris just under the surface. I really like both of your edits so both of you have provided excellent suggestions which will help me refine this image. Thanks! |

Mark, I also cropped your original image in much the same way as David did. In PS, I used Luminar NEO's Clean Light preset on the image. Returning to PS, I dodged the shadow side of the cliff. I then used a vibrance adjustment technique that I learned from a YouTube video by Blake Rudis for the final image. |

Pete, you really have captured the essence of human emotion: anger. The ability to see the moment and quickly capture the story on "film" is the mark of a seasoned photographer. You did a good job in post-processing to highlight the subject feelings; I think that David just fine-tuned it with his second image. |

Jim, I cropped in a little tighter and then cloned out the tree on the left side. Using PS neural filters I used the depth blur and then darkened the BG. I didn't change the sail size because I find the diminishing sail size leads my eye to the group on the right. |

David, I can tell there was a lot of work in the post-processing but I think the outcome was worth it. This image certainly tells a story and is a good representation of the Victorian era. |

I tried experimenting with PS's new generative fill on the BG, it did a fair job with the girl's hair but the eyelashes on the girl's left eye were horribly distorted. I think David's crop and BG fix are the solutions. Nice capture Barbara. |
