Thanks, Sophia, your suggested crop does eliminate the need to use Luminar NEO's sky replacement app and it puts more focus on the temple at the same time. I will need to work on this some more thanks for your suggestion. |

I want to thank everyone for the very helpful comments. I am uploading my original, as you can see the original sky was very distracting it was also a .jpg and not a raw that may have had more information. |

Thanks, Pete, I really wasn't satisfied with my end result and I need some advice. Your suggestions are most helpful. I can see the improvements they have had to this image. |

Sometimes great images are achieved with great sacrifice and this is an example of a great image through sacrifice. Have you used an app called "Photopills"? A club member gave us a 2 hour class on using this app. It's like covering everything you can do with Photoshop in a 2-hour time frame. Excellent job using LR. |

Mark, great image. I agree with Pete's comments and also with David's comment about cropping a bit of the sky out. For me, a square landscape image just doesn't feel right. |

Great shot Pete! I like your final interpretation; perhaps cropping out part of the sky would work much as your AI-generated image has done. |

Jim, I like your second posting more than the first; but as David writes above, the horse is too centered, leaving little room to travel out of the picture. I also agree with Sophia's suggestion for cloning out the people in the background. There is no interaction between the rider and the observers. The story for me is the horse and the rider the people are just another distraction. |

David, I agree with the comments above and as Sophia suggested a little tighter crop makes a stronger statement, however, I would crop just below her hands. I prefer the original image rather than the second image. She has beautiful eyes but her left eye is partially obstructed by her hair in the second image. But I believe it is a better crop. |

Very nostalgic, my mother had the same pin cushion and thimble. I agree with David's comments about the shadows. The light on the pins seems to be mixed, some of the shadows indicate the light is coming from the left rear, and in one case the light source looks like it's coming from the rear right. Very difficult to recreate the shadows on the pins. I like the arrangement, the seamstress' tools are ready for the next task. |
