Thanks, everyone for your excellent suggestions. I thought David's suggestion of removing the third monk was valid but I liked Sophia's suggestion of having the other monk included. However, I thought he was too far from the other two. Using the patch tool and the cloning tool I removed the original third monk and the objectionable dark blob. I then moved the remaining two monks closer to the one near the tree. Once again I used the neural tool to change the depth of field but I went easy on the FG. It may need some more work but thanks to everyone I feel I have a much better image. |

Sophia, great action shot. I really can't add any suggestions other than a little tighter crop. I also took your final image and used Topaz Sharpen AI which I think helped a little. |

Sophia, for some reason this image was not my final choice but it keeps showing up every time I try to replace it. The only difference between this one and the one I tried to replace with my final crop is more like Jim's crop of right-wing but just touching the tree limb in the BG. |

Mark, I too see the potential for a nice BW image. After importing your original into LR I made adjustments to the sky, horizon, and shoreline using Viveza 2. I then used Silver Efex Pro 2 to convert your image to BW and selected High Structure (smooth) followed by choosing cyanotype 11 toning and adding a slight vignette. I had to use PS to dodge the sea stacks to bring out a little texture. |

Pete, you really did an excellent job on post-processing considering the very high ISO; however, I do agree with David's comment about the people in the BG. Although the woman's expression ties into what is happening in the arena because of the high ISO and the loss of definition, I find that I am spending too much time trying to make what the couple is doing. Therefore, I favor David's rendition as this is the actual story.

Jim, the model has wonderful hair and it deserves to be shown at its full length so this is a good pose to show it off. She also has beautiful eyes so I would have liked her looking into the camera which may have accented her eyes. I did a tighter crop and used PS's neural filter to create a shallower depth of field. I then used Topaz Mask AI to select the subject to isolate her from the BG which then darkened a tad bit. |

David, what a great action shot, perfect timing! I agree with Jim about the green/cyan color cast on her arm, face, and a little in her hair. I do like the pink color of her outfit more than the red color in your original. |

Barbara, I agree with Sophia and Jim. What a difference between the original and your final image. Great expression for a clown. |
