Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
5 Aug 20 Comment Thanks everyone for your comments they have been very helpful. I believe I will be printing this one after making the necessary changes. I am glad I was able to help recall some enjoyable memories for some of you. Aug 16th
5 Aug 20 Reply Thanks Mark, I took Stuart's advice and used Luminar 4's AI Image Enhancer; I am very pleased with the results. Yes, I agree the image is not as sharp as I would like, probably a combination of film degradation, scanning, and less than ideal camera and lens. I do wish today's technology and equipment were available 25 years ago. Aug 16th
5 Aug 20 Reply Thanks Stephen, I did take a look at Huang Phan's; I agree with some of the comments about it being too tight of a crop. However, this temple is probably one of the most photographed temples in Japan so one needs to be different sometimes. Aug 16th
5 Aug 20 Reply Thanks Nick, I took Stuart's advice and used Luminar's AI Image Ehancer; I like the result. Luminar is another post processing software much like Topaz's Studio 2. What's unique about Luminar's 4th generation is the ability to change the sky in an image without doing all the painstaking work to make it look real. The reflection in the water did take some work though. Aug 16th
5 Aug 20 Reply Thanks Stuart, I went back to my original and processed it again through the AI Image Enhancer; definite improvement. Thanks for the recommendation. Aug 16th
5 Aug 20 Comment Another expression of your wild imagination, very funny. I think mom and dad are little too big for the landscape and the shadows need to be a little darker so they become more apparent. Aug 6th
5 Aug 20 Comment This really works for me, you did a great job in post processing. Aug 6th
5 Aug 20 Comment I really like this shot; its well composed and there is excellent lighting; however, as Bob has mentioned the out of focus handle is very distracting. It still is a great still life. Aug 6th
5 Aug 20 Comment I completely agree with Stephen's comments. Its well exposed and there is detail in both shadow and highlight areas. Good job. Aug 6th
5 Aug 20 Comment I agree with Stephen's remarks about the image being flipped and the contrast. I believe when you increased the contrast it brought out some of the scanning debris. Not sure if the black dots in the sky are birds or scanning debris. Nice story. Aug 6th
