Phil, this is a very nice shot, you've captured this man deep in thought. Perhaps a slight dodging of the face especially around the eyes. I don't know if I would do as much as Pete has done with the rest of the body because as you stated the is a loss of texture. You have an amazing amount of detail considering the your ISO of 3200. Excellent image. |

You are right David, although this is a cute shot the more I look at it the more it's more of a snap shot than anything else. I will take your suggestion and try working with the other shot. I would very curious to see what you would do with it if you were so inclined. Thanks for your comments. |

Nice job Pete, I like the low angle of the photo. As David mentioned it's too bad about the blown out highlights on the drummer's hand, trying to burn it in will only turn the skin color grey. My eye keeps going from the man's face to the fancy bead work around his neck to his sparkly wristband. Perhaps some very slight dodging around the man's face especially his eyes and some slight burning in on the bead work. The wristband is probably a lost cause as is his the highlights on his left hand. Good job in capturing the mood of the event. |

Barbara, I do like the shot and how it was presented after post processing; I'm thinking the pit from the open cherry is missing. I'm OK with toning down that you did for your bowl, I think it matches the tone of the cherries. I agree with Pete's assessment of a slight tilt; however, the highlights on his edit are too bright and distracting. I do like Pete's red frame. |
