I agree with Nick and I like what you have done with the image post Nick's suggestions. In Photoshop, I took your originally saved image and boosted the contrast. Next, I darkened and desaturated the BG. I should have added the vignette. |

You have captured three different state of minds or interests; the on the left thinking of or seeing something in the distance. The one in the middle seems a little repulsed and the third is very interested in what is going on in front of him. The story comes to life because of the work you put into post processing. The only suggestion is to crop a little more off the top. |

Barbara, nice capture; I can't make any recommendation in addition to what you have already done. This tells a story.
As far as the wispy hair, I have had some success with Topaz ReMask. You would almost have to go down to the pixel level to pick out the color in a strand of hair then use color separation. The new 2018 PS is suppose to have better capabilities too. |
