Thanks John and Nick for your advice. I will play around with it some more; try some different croppings. |

Phil, I agree with Barbara and Oliver. I do like the crop Oliver did; however, in an effort bring out the color in her cheeks he has changed her complexion somewhat. She doesn't look quite as angelic as does in your original. Not that it's bad, it just changes the tone of the portrait. I am seeing more detail and texture in Oliver's interpretation. |

You have captured a very interesting moment; the woman is staring off into space just waiting for something happen while her partner is contemplating his next bite of ice cream. I think what Oliver has done gives the image a little more depth. Once again you taken something most would consider mundane and changed into a work of art. |

Thanks Barbara. I think I will do that; after making the adjustments that Oliver has recommended. |

Very creative Nick! The girl looks like she is bouncing up and down in the pool, having a great time. The little pool on the RH side could use some texture because right now it looks like a green disc was placed on top of the pool. I do agree with Barbara; "it adds balance and gives a triangular composition." |

This is such a great shot Oliver! I like the matching colors of the butterfly and the flower. You've captured the detail in the eyes and the wings but I think you may have over sharpened it. I can see halos around the flower and the wings of the butterfly. Very nice bokeh. |

Interesting shot Barbara; putting in the wall was a great idea but with a bit more blur. Perhaps Oliver's crop was an improvement but what I am seeing on my monitor is a slight increase in exposure; the woman's left lens on her glasses is brighter and has lost some detail. There is a loss of detail in her pin cushion and the blue pad under her work is now gray. That said, this is one of the cheapest monitors, so maybe it's time for a new one |
