Oh, this is much better. There more texture in the legs and better lighting on his body and face. I like it. As for the Point of View, in your narrative you mentioned that he was pointing down a path, would there have been a POV that would have included the path too? |

I enjoyed your time lapse video; I went through the canal back in 1987 while I was in the Navy. Other than the new canal everything is pretty much how I remember it. |

John, this is an excellent subject, I really like all the lines of the railing and curves of the spiraling staircase. I'm sure that you explored different POV. For me, this POV is too busy and detracts from the beauty of the staircase. I like what Oliver tried but I think I would have tried to clone out the competing window and artwork behind the staircase. |

Welcome Oliver, this is a picture of someone else's art, that being said I get more information from you narrative than I get from your image. Is there a POV that would depict what you wrote in "How I Did It"? I know we can't always control the light on our subject, perhaps experimenting with some post processing tools such as NIK you might be able to create something a little more dramatic. As it stands now your subject seems a little flat because of the cloudy day. |

What a great way to create an unusual image. Perhaps it may benefit from cropping in a little tighter on the left and right but this an image that would lose its impact and balance if it were off center. Good job. |

Again, you have created wonderful image from something many of us wouldn't have seen as we walked by the man sitting on the steps. The lighting is excellent, although, I may have considered toning down brighter areas on his shirt and pants legs. |

I agree with everyone on the red; my eye is drawn to the base of the flower where the white lines of the petals flow towards the base of the stamen, I just wish stamen were more in focus. You might consider focus stacking if you do a re-shoot. |

Thanks you everyone for your comments; I agree with everyone that I need to do something with the BG. I have darkening, blurring, and even lightening. I will continue to work with it and re-post it if I can get it to where I'm satisfied with the results. |
