I think this is a case where you were right to break the rule; I can see myself standing on the edge of the grass watching the sun rise over Galveston Beach. I don't feel moving the horizon either up or down will add to the image. |

Thanks Joyce, I was happy to learn about NIK's Silver Efex Pro 2 filter from Burton Anes in one of our local photography club meetings. It was perfect for the effect that I wanted. |

Hi Barbara, I like your choice of BG; also putting in the shadow of the vase is brilliant. However, I was thinking it might look more natural going in the same direction of the other shadows on the flower. Good job on getting some texture in the yellow leaves, it's hard to do with yellow. |
