I have seen this face before from other SC photographers - certainly a photogenic face. The background is nicely blurred and not distracting, as is often the case with these photos. The backlighting on the hair borders on being blown out (overexposed) - might be able to tone it done just a bit. |

Anne,
This is a pleasing pastoral image. The tree frames the visual centerpiece of lawn furniture. The sky could use a few clouds but that doesn't always happen. |

Karen,
This is a lovely soft image. I particularly like the female standing on the right side looking toward the viewer. At first, I thought it had been post processed in Topaz, or similar, to give it that painted look. Catching the heat off the beach is a neat visual effect. |

Diane,
I like this action image. There is a clear center of focus with the action and then there is the supporting cast in the background who are (mostly) also directing their attention to the main event. The crop and adjustments work well. |

Thanks Mervyn. Those brown piles that look like rocks are not -- that park has lots of Bison. More environmental context :). |

Diane,
It is almost like a time-lapse. I like the vertical progression of poses from bottom toward the top of the image. I might apply a bit of a vignette to darken the area surrounding the birds. |

Jaswant,
I haven't seen images of elephants enclosed in the foliage of large trees like this. Did you lighten the area under the trees to enhance the light from above? It almost looks like light coming through a window in a church. |

Interesting reflection which makes the end of the bird's bill appear to be in the water due to the ripples. |

Nice capture of a goose in its natural habitat with rain drops forming on its feathers. The enhanced brightness of the reeds helps the image have more impact. Next time see if you can get the goose to swim toward you :). |

Mervyn,
I like your crop but also think that a bit wider crop that would more fully show the nest within the Y of the tree might work too. The background is totally without distractions, which works well. |

Agreed; I did darken the background to provide more separation but too much and it starts looking fake. |
