Agreed; truncated objects, especially people, on the edges of the image are to be avoided, if possible. |

Karen,
Making the sky brighter is an option. At some point, it becomes too bright for my taste. Judgment call. |

Diana,
Yes, taking many images and stacking them is the usual approach. I was surprised this worked so well. |

Rita,
This is a pleasing wildlife image. The main attraction are the babies being escorted between the parents. I find the foreground a bit distracting - might darken it with a gradient or brush. |

To me, this is an exotic image. I like the pattern and color of the mosque. The two couples in the foreground lend some interest and a bit of mystery to the image. The crop works well. Where is Colombo? |

Diana,
This is an interesting sports action image. I like that you were able to get a frontal perspective of both the rider and the calf. The shutter speed was well selected to capture the action without blur. I expect the following frames would have caught some action too as the slack was taken up. Was the calf tied up or just roped - I don't know much about calf roping. |

Anne,
I hope your back is doing better. It would probably hurt my back to have to look up at such a vertical angle to take this picture. This image must have been taken with a wide angle lens since you captured a large area of varied colors and geometric shapes. It is a visually complex image with vibrant colors and geometry. |

Karen,
It is impressive that you can get such a sharp image with the slow shutter speed and low ISO - modern cameras are amazing. I like this pastoral scene. The soft, foggy background and sharper foreground provide an excellent sense of depth to the image. I think leaving all the cows in the image would have been fine or having an odd number by including the one on the left. |

Jacob,
I find that's the major drawback of photography in a zoo - having to shoot through a glass partition or a fence. Good work in removing the reflection. This sleeping bear isn't a very photogenic image since it isn't doing much of anything that's interesting. Also, it seems a bit dark overall and low contrast. It might have been a bit more interesting if you could have zoomed in on the face, but it still would have been a snoozing bear. |

Thanks Pierre; I am torn between a better exposure and making it look too much line daytime. |

Yes, I have messed around with the foreground quite a bit. The challenge is to get the hillside lighter but not the parking lot. Still working on it. |

Jaswant,
Yes, five individual landscape orientation (horizontal) were stitched together in LR. This is the first time I have tried to make a pano of the MW. I have since removed the brighter areas at the bottom and removed some of the satellite trails. The coma is as minimal with this lens as I can get by minimizing the exposure to only 13 seconds. Thanks. |

Jaswant,
What an exotic image and majestic animal. It looks like you got the tiger to pose with studio side lighting. I'd like to see the original before conversion. |

What a place to be with all those eagles, in spite of the cold. I like the lighting, sharpness, and the captured action in this image. A very good nature photo. |

What amazing eyes and nice bokeh - so what's the story behind this striking image? I assume this wasn't taken in your backyard? |

Mervyn,
Lots of stripes in this image. I like that juxtaposition of the front view and the sides views and the heads down and head up - a very interesting nature image. |
