This is a sharp portrait of a man with many interesting features and colors. I wonder how he injured the finger of his right hand. The background is not distrcting, which is good, but neither is it provide any context. It looks like a studio background. The pose is more "praying like" than dancing to me. |

Erin,
I think the separation between the foreground and background works and doesn't appear artificial. The texture and shapes and dynamic balance add interest and a bit of tension. |

I like this image with the cabin set to the left and the water and trees and sky balancing. The foreground lily pads and reflections add interest and the trees and shore separate the world above and below. The clouds look a little magenta to me but that's an artistic choice. |

Thanks Erin; camera phones have finally become credible and they are just about always in your pocket. |

Diana,
I think this is a lovely photo. I like the hazy soft background and the lovely red/orange color variation. The layers of orange/dark/orange and then foreground are visually very interesting. Nice work.
I might (or might not depending) open up the shadows a bit in the foreground. |

Cindy,
It is always great to catch those big bears in action. I might not have cropped in quite so much. |

Mervyn,
The cat's eyes really pop in this image. Removing the green leaf in front of the face helps; the rest of the grass seems fine and provides context. |
