Erin,
There were many possible crops and you selected a good one. There is a lot of visual detail in this image combined with some overall larger patterns and textures. And the writing on the one vertical surface adds a bit of mystery - does it say something or just graffiti?? |

As noted, the brightness may be a desired feature. |

Anne,
Nice; the curves and bends and uneven widths of this PS transformation certainly increased the visual interest of this image considerably. |

Rita,
I think this is a lovely sunset image. The flowers in the foreground give that added pop. To my eye, the foreground is a bit bright. In the attached image edt 2 I have toned down the brightness a bit overall and brighted the foreground more selectively. Not a big difference from your edit and maybe not preferred. |

Karen,
Welcome to our PSA Digital Group. This is a lovely image. I have used a similar technique on my Milk Way night sky images and yours is as nice as any I have done. A great location too.
I particularly like the lone pine with the Milky Way ascending in the background. The area of light pollution on the horizon could be either a desired feature or not. I might tone it down to the level in the original so it does not detract from the night sky. Did you apply any denoise to the image? These night sky images tend to collect a lot of noise and sometimes denoise can help; especially in the dark midground. |

I went back into LR to check - not rotated. All the images I took that night have this orientation. Used a tripod - not possible to get this focus without it. |

That makes more sense. I haven't seen any Black bears that large and they are common up here where I live. |

Wow Jacob. This is an excellent image; one of your best so far.
Normally I might find a bright spot in the background distracting but it this image I think it works. It acts as a spotlight shining down on the spider. I would remove/replace the bit of lens flare in the upper right.
While I understand leaving some room in the frame for later cropping, I think I might have zoomed in a bit more on this image, particularly because the bright distraction in the lower left of the original would have to be cropped out anyway,

Diane,
I like that there is a trio of birds and the additional exposure you added. I wonder if you might have been able to reduce the shutter speed and thus reduce your ISO? Even with a 5D, that is a very high shutter speed which may introduce noise and other issues.
In any case, I can't really see much detail in this image because the website image is quite small. When I download it and loodk at the size, it is only 14 kb-super small. How come? |

Not matter where you travel, it seems there are flies. And this one has lovely iridescence and colors. I like the muted background and sharp details of the subject. |

Yep, that is a big bear. And you must have been fairly close with that 24 - 105 lens. I like that you left some space on on the left in the direction the bear was looking. |

Lucky you going to Iceland. It is on my wish list.
This is quite an eye catching bird with the orange, black, and white coloration. And the red rim around the eye is striking. Maybe soften the grass a bit?
