Erin,
I like both the original color and your converted bw. I have taken images like this of my potter friend. I like the implied motion of the wheel from the spinning/blurring and I would probably include a bit more of the wheel itself for this reason. The added texture seems fine to me. |

Diana,
Your crop works well to focus on the small wave and the girl on the board. The higher shutter speed freezes the water and action. Everything appears sharp - nice action image. |

Yes, better but the background is too bright. |

Jacob,
I like the crop and the way the branches cradle the Koala.
Modern cameras have fast and accurate auto-focus. That's pretty much what everyone uses unless there are some special circumstances which require manual focus. |

Diane,
He is clearly giving you the "eye" while enjoying a bite to eat. I like the soft (afternoon?) side lighting. |

Cindy,
A nice "family" portrait of these large water birds. I particularly like the mutual orientation of the two adults. |

Pierre,
I like the perspective from close to the water's surface. I bet you were holding on to your camera firmly. The lighting and shadows on the moose provide visual interest. Is the waterline slightly tilted? |

The nursing calf provides the center of interest for this image. I haven't seen a giraffe nursing and I expect few others have either. |
