Rita,
I like this layered landscape image but I think I actually like the original better, in spite of the soft and over exposed clouds. I don't think your camera captures this scene very well. I am not sure why. Maybe the image is "over processed" in post. I think there are some color artifacts or color noise in this image. Denoise may or may not help, since it would make the image even more soft. Since this image is soft to start with, it may be that you could make it even more soft and painterly with software like NIK or Topaz

Anne,
I like the way you used the foreground bridge as a frame for the river/background bridge and I like the muted blues and greens in the reflection on the water. I also like the dappled reflection and lighting on the underside of the foreground bridge. Overall, I think this is a well composed and pleasing architectural/landscape image. Nice work. The only small thing I might adjust is the highlight on the right-side of the foliage. I would darken that a bit to match the rest of the foliage. |

Denny,
First, I hope I identified these two images properly. I choose the "in camera" image as the original, which I hope is what you intended.
I like this still life composition. It is subtle and visually effective. The soft lighting from below highlights the red wine, the stronger side lighting highlights the left side of the wine glass and the understated curve of the wine bottle in the background. Darkening the background adds visual emphasis to the wine glass in the foreground, which works well.
To my eye, the highlighting/reflection on the wine glass is a bit too strong and thus tends to visually overpower the other elements in this image. In the attached image, I toned down that highlight and placed a bit more emphasis on the red wine itself by using a brush and a radial filter. I understand that these are relatively minor adjustments which may not be something you intended or want, which is fine. |

I think Pierre's suggestions are excellent for use of an Iphone. The blur is uneven and therefore a bit too obvioius that it was done in post if one is a photographer; most people probably won't notice. |

Cindy,
The crop works well and I like the texture and colors of the Iguana. A vignette might help darken the background a bit more.

Pierre,
I like the dark boarder between the leaf edge and the background and the variegation in the leaf itself. The focus stacking makes the all of the bug sharp and distinct. I agree that reducing the green area below the bug would place more emphasis on the bug itself. |

Diane,
The garden is always a good place for me to go when I am looking to add image to submit. I like the vibrant color of the bloom and the muted greens and oranges in the background. I might zoom in a bit and make this image more vertical since I don't think the foliage on the right or left adds much. I look forward to seeing your whale image(s). |

Jaswant,
I think this is a very effective composition and an unusual one when it comes to photography of these animals. I like that the stem and lips and hairs around the lips are in clear focus and the rest of the face is softer but still discernable. All of the images you have shown of these animals have been outstanding but I think this is the one I like the best because it is unique and a bit whimsical. |

Yes, amazing that you had the opportunity to take this image and others and that you were resilient enough to make the trek there and back. The eyes are definitely the point of greatest visual interest. I also like the way the arm is resting against the chest with the fingers exposed and the slight head tilt. I think there also is a good facial closeup in this image. |
