Thanks Rita. It is a nice and nearby park but I am glad we are not camping today (24 degrees and going lower) |

Rita,
I like the soft blues and pastels. At some point this might be a good background for a composite image. Judging the experimental category is difficult since there is so much diversity. |

Anne,
This is certainly one of the more interesting bird on a stick images I have seen. I like that the tail feathers are fanned out and the bird appears just about ready to launch into the air. Although there are lots of branches in this image, the main subject is framed well and almost totally exposed. Nice shot. |

Blair,
Cute portrait and lovely daughters. I use a vignette to darken the background a bit. |

Damon,
I like the composition and lighting of this image and, or course, any images of cars/transportation is always of interest to me. I'd love to visit this museum if I ever make it out to the West Coast. |

Michelle,
That is a giant bubble. Leaving the people in the background helps with the scale of the bubble. I like the highlights around the edges and inside the bubble. |

Barbara,
I use light painting on flowers often. I like your reedition. It is difficult to know just how much light the background should get. You have left a suggestion of what is in the background. |

This image was a stab in the dark, so to speak. Thanks for your comments Damon. It was foggy so that may or may not account for the soft appearance. |

Thanks Pierre; I agree b/w conversion is more predictable. |

Jaswant,
You caught an interesting juxtaposition of these two lions. Maybe darkening (masking) a bit the bright background on the right would bring more attention to the subjects. |

Jacob,
Good sharp image of the bird; darkening the background per Mervyn's treatment or vignette works here. |

Ditto what Pierre and Mervyn said. I like the green and muted yellow background. |

Pierre,
Well focused bird on a stick image. I like that the branch leads the eye to the bird. |

Mervyn,
I like that the composition goes from right to left and large to small (for an elephant). It is difficult to know if/where to crop the image on the horizontal since I know you would want to avoid truncating an elephant (ha ha). |
