60 Nov 23 Reply Thanks Anne. I hope you start feeling better soon but it can take a while to heal up from vehicle crashes. Nov 19th

60 Nov 23 Comment Blair,
Because the interior of this ornament appears to be transparent (open), the background shining through the opening is visually distracting and makes it difficult to separate the background from the foreground.

60 Nov 23 Comment Rita,
I like the contrast in color, shape, and texture between the water and rock. The fisherman provides scale. Did you take any images more zoomed in on the fisherman?

60 Nov 23 Comment Anne,
What an interesting image. I love old train engines and this one is especially beautiful. The reflection is amazing. I might have moved closer, if possible, to try to eliminate one or more of the verticals in the glass.
I hope you are recovering from your injuries well.

60 Nov 23 Comment Damon,
You are on your way to becoming a studio pet photographer. I hope you have lots of doggy treats. I like the soft lighting and "pose" of the tilted head and lifted leg.

You captured this elderly flower with lighting that highlights the color and texture. I like that the stem is still visible since it anchors the flower to the corner of the frame.

Welcome to the group. Being able to take this image was an amazing opportunity. As Mervyn noted, the image is underexposed, so that's an easy fix in post processing.

69 Nov 23 Comment Pierre,
I agree that using a longer lens to catch those fast moving pollinators often works better than a macro lens. The detail is good and the depth of field relatively large. The yellow and black is a nice contrast.

69 Nov 23 Comment Mervyn,
You caught an interesting moment which adds a story and greater interest to what otherwise would have been a more ordinary image of a bird on a pile of soil.
