60 Aug 23 Reply IMHO, iconic can get repetitive. So if you care going to take an image that's been done a thousand times before, you have to figure a unique take on it - not easy. The haze in the background is not a problem and it adds a bit of "atmosphere". The color is the sky is nice but it is still a bunch of bland blue. This is a nice image but not unique in any way. What could you have done to move it up a notch within the thousands of lavender images? Or maybe under the circumstances, this was the best image available? The lavender farm with the shot down the rows of lavender has become an iconic image. Yours is a good rendition - everything is sharp and crisp. The blue sky is definitely blue but otherwise rather blah. Maybe more flowers and less sky?		 Aug 7th

There is a lot going on in the original image. The blur at the bottom is definitely distracting so cropping in to remove it is a good strategy. Unfortunately, the bee in the cropped rendition is not sharp in some areas. The upside is that if you plan to go back you'll have some more opportunities to get a better image.		 Aug 7th

A very nice day lily portrait. The composition is good and I especially like the soft, muted background. Some might remove the withered bloom but I think it provides interest and tells a bit of the story of the short lived blooms.		 Aug 7th

I love this image. I like the sense of depth and leading lines. The soft golden hour lighting is fantastic and the shadows add interest. The sky and golden clouds provide a lovely background. A very well done landscape photo.		 Aug 7th
