60 Dec 22 Comment Thanks Rita. Dec 25th
60 Dec 22 Reply Damon,
I agree with you about the "orthodoxy" of what is considered a good image in most PSA circles.
After looking at it for a while, I do like the more blue sky better.

60 Dec 22 Reply I added some blue to the highlights in the sky with color grading and some blue to the clouds with HSL/Color. Better? Or maybe just a different version? Dec 16th
60 Dec 22 Reply Merry Christmas to you too. I did edit the photo and remove the clump of trees on the right - looks better. Not sure about turning the gray clouds blue? Dec 15th
60 Dec 22 Reply Thanks for your comments Patrick. Dec 14th
60 Dec 22 Reply Thanks John. Dec 14th
60 Dec 22 Comment Thanks Debbie; good suggestion. Dec 11th
60 Dec 22 Comment When I shoot birds with my big and heavy lens I usually use a tripod when practical. I think getting clear photos of birds in flight is probably one of the most challenging types of photography. Dec 9th
60 Dec 22 Comment John,
A colorful seasonal composition; well done for both you and your wife.

60 Dec 22 Comment Damon,
I think you nailed the flash exposure. I like the background of city lights a bit out of focus.

60 Dec 22 Comment Debbie,
I like this largely symmetrical image. The clouds provides a soft background which places the emphasis on the bridge and light. I might lighten the light tower and base just a bit.

60 Dec 22 Comment Underwater photography requires a different skill set and equipment than working in the atmosphere. Getting images like this are a major effort. Dec 9th

69 Dec 22 Comment Geoff,
I like the soft warm lighting and the leading diagonal tree brining the eye to the colorful bird.

69 Dec 22 Comment The eye and head of the eagle are in clear focus, as is most of the rest of the body. The motion is well captured. The background is a bit busy buy it provides a natural context for this big bird. Dec 9th
69 Dec 22 Comment Jacob,
The angle of view for a compelling image is not the best but your photo editing looks good.

69 Dec 22 Comment Pierre,
Wildlife rarely cooperate by providing the best pose. When they present their rear end to the camera, the image becomes less interesting to most, as you know. The action on the front end helps offset this disadvantage.

69 Dec 22 Comment Mervyn,
The tree provides a great natural frame for the monkey. The exposed tongue adds interest to the facial feature. The exposure is excellent, as usual.
