Rita,
Definitely a well done wildlife image. The only thing I suggest is lightening the facial area of the adult bear a bit - the eyes are hidden in darkness. I realize the eyes are face are naturally dark so it won't make a big difference. I also added a vignette to emphasize the bears and darken the background a bit. |

Anne,
I think you did well to get this good of an image in a cave with artificial lighting and hand holding. It is a strong composition with the light reflecting in the pool. It almost looks like a mirrored image. I might lighten the foreground and midground on the left side of the image just a bit to bring out the detail a bit more and balance the lighting a bit - a radial filter might work to do that. |

John,
This is certainly an eye catching image. The colors and pattern are complex and yet well integrated into a visually interesting presentation. This technique with a digital TV is new to me. Now I just have to figure out how to get my TV off the wall so I could try this too. |

Damon,
I think you captured the action and motion very well in this image. I don't find the background distracting and I like that the eye of the horse is in focus, as is the rider. I think the image would have been a bit better if the lariat was not decapitated and the loop was visible. In post, did you crop in and eliminate that or did the original image not contain that detail? |

Damon,
I think you are right. I took this picture mid-day under mostly overcast as we were traveling back to Michigan from Ontario. This would have been a better image with later day lighting with shadows and golden light. Maybe next time I am up that way. |

Geoff,
There is a bit of implied tension in this image. When will the next vehicle be coming around the bend and will the Emu make it across? I'd hate to hit such a big bird. |

I am surprised that you could capture such a good image of the Milky Way anywhere in Florida. Well done. |

Jacob,
a sharp image of this bee on the vibrant yellow flower. I might crop in a bit more if you have the resolution to do that in the image and move the bee a bit off-center. |

I agree a bit more room to the right might help - if there isn't any in the original image it would be easy to all some fill in PS. Lovely clear image of this big bird in flight. |

Pierre,
Interesting pose; I like that the one leg of the heron is mimicked by the vertical branches on the log. Lovely soft background. |

Mervyn,
Excellent flash exposure. Were you using TTL or manual settings for your flash? I don't use my flash much so every time I use it I have to relearn it.
