Nice wildlife capture. I like the cropping and the implied motion with the water splashing. The seal is looking right into the camera with a somewhat somber expression. Is it possible to lighten the shadows in the eye area?		 Aug 16th

I think you captured an interesting image while you were waiting. I like the opposition of the horizontal and vertical lines and the reflection adds some color interest. Shooting this close to big buildings with a wide angle lens always will produce some distortion of perspective but I don't mind it and the image works well for me.		 Aug 16th

The clarity of the flower on the right is excellent-lovely detail and I especially like the water droplets. And the color contrast between the leaves and center of the flower really pop.

My eye tends to wander between the main subject on the right and the out-of-focus flower on the left. This could be what you intended or not. If not, more blur in the background would help though you may not have been able to use a larger aperture? You can do that in post but sometimes that looks fake. And how much bokeh is "right" is always open to interpretation. 		Aug 6th
60 Aug 22 Comment Thanks Damon for your comments and suggestions. I usually use bracketing when I shoot sunsets and then often apply HDR in post but I can't remember if I did that this time. I have forgotten about the "new" sky masking in LR. Aug 6th

I think this is a very nice image and could be entered into a contest. I especially like the flowers which visually provide some balance to the approaching Cardinal. There are lots of Cardinals in south Texas.		 Aug 6th
