I didn't know there was a monochrome group but that would be of interest to me. I often convert color to b/w when it appears more effective. And thanks for your suggestions. I did lighten the reflections a bit so I can undo that easily.		 Jan 26th

A face only a mother could love. The eyes are dramatic. I wonder what a crop that capture mostly just eyes or an eye would look like, if the resolution would hold up.

Clear image of the bird in motion. I would darken the stumps just a bit and lighten the reflection in the water so the viewer's eye is drawn from the bird descending to the water.		 Jan 10th

I like the sunlight and shadows on the pond and that the sky is not blown-out, as is easy to do in images like this. Lots of green in the image and, as noted, my eye wanders around a bit when I view it although I do think the pond in the center of interest here. I think your crop is good. 		Jan 10th

It is often difficult to get a bird on a stick picture without all the foreground foliage interfering so I like the clarity and diagonal likes in this image.		 Jan 10th

Sometimes it is difficult to get the shutter speed just right in these moving water images but I think you nailed it in this one. I like the crop you did too with the foreground rocks. 		Jan 10th
