Excellent detail in feathers in spite of the dark color. The lifting off is dynamic with the action and water. You definitely needed the high shutter speed.		 Jul 3rd

Definitely an interesting "artsy" image. I like the bw treatment and adjustments. The subject itself is a bit too busy to my eye -- I might like it better if the upper left and lower right branches/leaves were softer and less distracting. I also think Mervyn's suggestion to put the long middle branch on the diagonal is good; then you could just crop out the upper branch/leaf.		 Jul 3rd

You captured the take-off at a good moment-just lifting off out of the water with full wing extension and effort. It can't be easy for big birds to fly out of the water.		 Jul 3rd
69 Jul 20 Comment Nice bright and sharp image, especially considering the distance away. I have had several 4/3 Pany cameras and always liked them but then went to the dark side with a full frame. When I don't want to lug that around my Sony RX10 works well but also suffers from noise at higher ISO. Jul 3rd
