69 Sep 19 Reply That would be great Brenda. We just need to find a good place. Sep 15th
69 Sep 19 Comment Thanks Candy for that suggestion; good idea.

69 Sep 19 Comment Thanks Mervyn; see adjusted. With the black monitor background, it makes the image look too dark but I don't think it is. I did lighten the foreground a bit too. Sep 11th
69 Sep 19 Comment Big leap; no wonder it was trying to fly. Sep 10th

69 Sep 19 Comment Thanks Brenda,

I typically don't put the horizon near the middle of the pic but this time I didn't have much room to move the frame up or down. I could lighten the dark areas a bit more.

69 Sep 19 Comment Mervyn,

You certainly captured the lovely colorful plumage on these birds. I especially like the drops of water falling from the bird's bill (beak?).

69 Sep 19 Comment Candy,

For a big bird in motion, you captured almost of it with good detail and clarity, especially the critical eyes. This picture provides a good sense of what powerful wings these birds have. Maybe just a little too much blank space on the left.

69 Sep 19 Comment Pierre,

I know birders get very excited when they get a picture of a rarely seen bird and one that expands their list. I like the context of the cattails but also think that cropping in a bit on the bird might work, if you have the pixels for doing that. I see you are zoomed out pretty far.

69 Sep 19 Comment Brenda,

That's certainly an unusual picture -- I didn't know those cats could fly but it certainly looks like this one is trying. How far did he/she fall?

69 Sep 19 Comment Geoffrey,

You pic captured great detail in that small honey bee. Those little critters don't stay still for long.
