Thanks Pierre; I think you're right about making a big print. |

Thanks Mervyn. I think I'll retire now with that praise. |

Thanks Candy. I darkened the foreground quite a bit so maybe I overdid that. |

Brenda,
How did this picture do in the competition? What category did you enter? |

An iconic Australian image and landmark. The sky/Milky Way looks a bit too purple to me but maybe that's what you get in the Southern Hemisphere? I expect that's a good place for night sky photography. In the Northern Hemisphere the Milky Way rises in the southeast -- where does it rise in Australia? |

Mervyn,
A nice composition with the sunset in the background and the in-flight Osprey in the foreground. I'd like to be able to see more detail in the bird. |

Donna,
Very nice -- the owl is tack sharp with the eyes being the center of interest. I might darken the background a bit. |

Candy,
I like that you caught the side light which illuminates the faces, eyes, and front of each of the three. The one with its head turned away provides a nice bit of composition interest. |
